EVEN             Align on word boundary                             Directive

  EVEN

    Causes the assembler to align the next byte (data or instruction) on a
    word boundary.

    If the location counter is odd when an EVEN directive appears, TASM
    places places a single byte of a NOP instruction in the segment to
    make the location counter even.

    EVEN should not be used in byte-aligned segments.
