Notes: the FGDRIVER functions are rearranged with each major release, but
     their parameters do not change (see #3145 at AX=0000h)
   The string is displayed in the current color, and the graphics cursor
     is updated to be just to the right of the last displayed character
   This function is ignored in text modes
