MrDebug and large screen modes.
Running MrDebug with large text resolutions.
──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

One of the great things about using MrDebug, is the ability to run your
application, and MrDebug in text modes such as 132x60, 132x50, 132x43.

Please refer to your video card documentation to see what text modes are
available, before you try out a video mode.

Changing to a text mode that has 132 columns and 60 rows allows you to have
your application within it's own window, which can be moved or resized. This
leaves you with an enormous amount of space for you to use for MrDebug's
other windows.

WARNING: Should you have problems in text modes, such as 132 text columns by
43 text rows with the mouse, i.e. you move the mouse and garbage
appears on the screen, then you may need to do some tinkering.
Please refer to the section in the see also about 'Notes about
Mouse Support'.

There are two ways in which you can take advantage of MrDebug's ability to
use large video modes:

1. Run a utility that came with your video card that sets the video mode,
before you run your MrDebug application. MrDebug will then recognize the
mode and take advantage of it.

2. Find the decimal video mode number for the text mode that you wish to use
and insert it into the Screen Mode Change item under the Display Settings
sub menu of the Options menu.

This has 2 advantages:

i) If you save your setup, the next time you start your MrDebug
application, the value held within the Screen Mode Change entry will
be used to set the video mode on start up.

ii) If you should shell to DOS and change the video mode it will be
restored when your return to MrDebug.

If you have problems with the mouse and have to use the .COM fix, then do
not use this option.
